Newsletter
Dearest UIU Dallas Family,
It feels like just yesterday we were embarking on new beginnings and setting ambitious goals for the year ahead. Yet, as we stand at the threshold of quarter 4, it's a reminder of the importance of making the most of each moment and seizing every opportunity that comes our way. The journey of the year has been a whirlwind so far, and I pray we can embrace the final stretch with renewed determination.
As we look forward into the fourth quarter, I want to remind everyone that the success of our chapter relies heavily on our members. Each and every one of you plays an integral role in ensuring that our chapter continues to thrive.
Without your continued support, we would not be where we are today.
I encourage you to remember the vision and goals you started the year with and to stay motivated in achieving those goals and continuing to set new ones. It is so important to remember that you are not alone in this life journey. Lean on other chapter members for support and tap into our growing network. We should all be helping each other
push through challenges and celebrating wins together!
Furthermore, please continue to invite your friends to our general body meetings and various events. The more people we have involved in our chapter, the stronger we become. Whether it's through social media, word of mouth, or simply talking to those around you, I urge you to encourage others to join us.
Remember that your membership is not just about attending events or participating in activities. It's about helping to build a community of like-minded individuals who share common goals and interests. By inviting new members to join us, we expand our community and create opportunities for even greater success.
Let us continue to work together, support each other, and make a positive impact in our community.
All my best,
Yvonne Igodan
UIU Dallas Chapter President

Runner’s Refuge Living Free Recovery Center
Dreams Renewed. Hope Restored. Lives Rebuilt! Whether due to mental illness, diminished opportunity, unfortunate life choices, or violence and trauma in their past, individuals in crisis have lost hope, faith, and sight of their true path. Runner’s Refuge is a compassionate ministry dedicated to reaching people in crisis by serving the homeless community, reaching families living in impoverished areas, and serving communities in crisis through long-term disaster recovery programs. Join UIU as we partner with Runner’s Refuge Living Free Recovery Center to eliminate poverty in our urban centers. We will engage with the unsheltered homeless, learn their stories, identify their needs, and connect their hearts to the desire for a better life. Volunteering will occur on Saturday, September 9, 2023, 8:00 am-12:00 pm CST. There is a maximum of 15 volunteers, so please RSVP on Eventbrite no later than Friday, September 8th.
