PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

Friends of UIU Dallas, Welcome to February!

February is widely known for being a time of love and appreciation. With that being said, I would like to take a moment to thank you for your contribution in making last month such a success for our chapter. Thank you for helping UIU Dallas make a difference in our community.

As we move forward into this new month, there are many exciting things to come. We have a variety of events planned throughout the month that I am sure you will enjoy. From networking opportunities, sports, bible study, community service projects, professional development, and a special event for the beloved couples in our family – there is something for everyone. I encourage you to participate in these events to continue building a stronger connection with your fellow UIU Dallas members.

For the next 27 days I pray you receive love in all the ways you are able to digest it. I pray you receive love from your family, friends, coworkers, and everyone else you are surrounded by. I hope that your cup overflows with so much love that you feel compelled to genuinely love yourself and others as well! You never know what struggles people face behind closed doors. I encourage you to be a ray of sunshine in someone's life and remind others around you that we are all in this together. Within UIU Dallas, let’s continue showing love, kindness, and empathy to one another and be there to support each other.

Last month our chapter grew by 30+ members – let's keep up the great work! The more of us there are, the more opportunities we all have to connect and network with like minded individuals. I encourage you to continue spreading the word about our amazing chapter. There are still plenty of Ndi Igbo people in the community that can benefit from joining our family. “Ndị okenye chọkwara obodo nta, ọ bụghị naanị ụmụaka” (adults need villages too, not just children). Let’s continue working together to help our chapter grow!

I am looking forward to seeing you at our events this month. I wish you a happy and love-filled February. You deserve it.

All my best,

Yvonne Igodan

UIU Dallas Chapter President
